Gold Coast Kris - Summer 2008
|
Sire: Kris S.
Dam: Merry Graustark (Graustark)
Kris is a big mare with solid bone, and great feet. She has a strong shoulder, a powerful hind end, and a kind eye. Kris passes on her wonderful, outgoing personality to her foals, as well as her size. Kris has produced 8 foals, 7 of racing age, including the two year old of 2009, Mister Kris Lee (Mister Manx). Of the 7 foals of racing age, Kris has produced 5 runners, one is a current 2 yr old, and one passed away as a yearling, virtually giving her 100% starters. Two of her foals have become winners, with one earning over $60k, and one, a filly named Fictitious, going on to produce 2 winners from 2 runners. One of which has now earned over $100k in Allowance company. The other, has gone on to be bred to King Cugat, and is looking to continue this family's winning streak.
Gold Coast Kris produced a stellar colt by British Blue on March 9th, 2010.

Coyote's Song - Fall 2010
|
Sire: Vanlandingham
Dam: Fromcottontosatin (Master Hand)
Coyote is a Big, good looking mare with no lack of size and bone. She is a new mare to the program, and was hand selected to join the Sporthorse breeding program at Brooklawn Farm. She is by Vanlandingham who sired our own Northlight, a very succesful Advanced and CCI** level three day event horse before his retirement in 2004.
Coyote has very impressive movement and a great mind. We hope that she will go on to produce superior upper level event horses. We will carefully select her future breedings to make the most of her amazing qualities.
In 2010, Coyote was bred to the impressive young stallion, Strong Contender, and is expecting a Colt in early April 2011

VAN VAN
1990 TB Mare - Dk B/Br - 16.0hh
|
|
|
Sire: Vanlandingham
Dam: Pomade (Prince John)
Van Van is the matriarch of our breeding program, having produced the first starter for the farm, Ivan Ivan, who broke his maiden at first asking in October 2008 as a 2 year old. She is a very classy mare who has a lovely personality, good size, and bone, and produces a forward, precocious foal.
We have been extremely pleased with all of the foals that she has given us, so much so, that we aquired her daughter,Vanning West late in 2008 to join Van Van at the farm.
Van Van was retired last year, and is living the good life with her other retired buddies. We hope that she will live a long and happy life here with us at Brooklawn.

MISS MUSCLES
1991 TB Mare - Chestnut - 16.1hh
|
Sire: Vanlandingham
Dam: Devinette (Secretariat)
Muscles is very well named as she is a big lady with great bone. She has a very nice shoulder, a powerful hind end, and a ground covering stride. Muscles comes from a very classy family. Her half sister, Hey Hazel, won more than $800K during her career. Another half sister has produced the dam of Riley Tucker, once a triple crown contender. Muscles family continues to improve as her sisters keep producing winners.
Muscles produced a lovely colt by Lost Soldier, affectionatly called Brownie, in 2006. Unfortunatly after a brief stay at the clinic, Brownie lost his battle to live. We can only imagine what Brownie might have gone on to acheive in his racing career.
Miss Muscles produced a lovely filly by Powerscourt (GB) on April 1st, 2010, and was given the year off to raise Rose, and to relax. We hope to breed her once more this spring.
